Happy Discoveries

Several things I’ve discovered recently have made me quite happy.

First of all, while sticking my nose into my Mom’s stock room, I discovered that our baby bath bed is still there, tucked safely in her gigantic storage closet. It made me happy because all this time, I thought we had sold it in a garage sale. I’ve been worrying about additional expenses in a few months as we have to prepare for the coming of the baby. It’s like starting from scratch as I’ve given away or sold almost all of our baby stuff. We’ve no more baby clothes, blankets, pillows, milk containers and baby bottles. Good thing I still have our crib, the walker and the car seat! So finding out that the bath bed is still here is indeed good news.

Second, my aunt from the US sent me a junior box full of maternity apparel. It was a pleasant surprise as I also have no maternity clothes left (sold them on ebay!). So the other night, like an excited teenager, I tried on blouse after blouse after blouse… I have so many new clothes, I feel like a model!

Then another thing that made me happy was the discovery of these cool milk trays for freezing breast milk. It’s no secret that I am a milk factory when I’m lactating. I have enough milk to feed triplets! So finding these milk trays on the INDIGO BABY site was a pleasant experience. Expressed milk is poured into the tray where they form 16 1-ounce sticks. Once frozen solid, the milk sticks can be transferred to air-tight bags for storage. This will relieve me of another expense—the costly Playtex bottle liners I use to store milk in. When the baby’s nearly due, I’m getting these milk trays from INDIGO BABY!
